🎄✨Holiday Photo Challenge!✨🎄 @gitana.eleni & I back atcha for our second TGBP photo challenge—this time with all the holiday spirit! ☃️🔮 💫 We loved hosting our summer challenge and are beyond stoked to host a winter edition. And we’re pretty excited about the raffle gift this time around. 😍 Ok, get ready for a lot of info… 😂 • As with our first challenge, you can be as creative with your interpretation of the prompts as you’d like, just so long as they’re book-related! Really, get crazy. You can do them in any order, and as few or as many of them as you’d like. This is a stress-free zone. 📸 Each day, we’ll share some of your challenge photos in our stories! • We want to be clear that this is a holiday challenge, not a Christmas challenge. It’s about celebrating what brings you joy and community throughout the season. If any of our prompts don’t jibe with your beliefs or traditions, please substitute with something that does! • Each prompt completed gives you one entry in our raffle for the aforementioned awesome holiday gift! 🎁 👇🏼 🎁 A book cart in your choice of color from Ikea or Target, AND one book from your holiday wishlist! 🎁 👆🏼 🥳 💫 Complete all 10 prompts, and you get an extra 5 entries (15 total) 💫 • We will be participating again as well, bc 🤗, but don’t worry, we won’t enter ourselves into the raffle haha. • Don’t forget to use the hashtag #bookpartychallenge so we can all see it! Also please include the prompt number. • You can participate in the challenge on your feed OR in your stories—whichever you prefer. If you go the stories route, just make sure to tag us in it, along with the hashtag, to make sure we see it, & create a highlight for the duration of the challenge to house your entries. • Anyone is welcome to participate. Following is not required, but of course it does make it easier to keep up on all the happs! • Please do share this post in your stories if you’re so inclined—the more people who participate, the more fun it will be! • Finally, we will be making a story highlight with more details like examples for prompts & any fun/important updates, so stayed tuned for that! • Merry, merry!! 🎄☃️ 🤘🏻✨🖤✨✌🏻 Amelie + Gitana

Yesterday, I woke up to my daughter yelling, “It snowed! It’s Christmas!” She is a snow bunny through and through, and she doesn’t believe we can do anything Christmasy until it snows. So we did all the Christmas things yesterday including watching our favorite movie “The Snowy Day.” . Two years ago, my daughter was one, and I was pregnant with our second daughter. She was born on her due date (Dec 27), so you can imagine that holiday month was low key for us. Amazon Prime released an original movie based off “The Snowy Day” book by Ezra Jack Keats, and my daughter and I watched it at least once every day (in bed 😂). The book and the movie evoke strong feelings of rest, peace, anticipation, being on the precipice of new life, hope, and expanding love. It has become one of the most favorite parts of Christmas for me and my now two daughters. . Do you have a favorite winter book you read each year? Are you establishing new traditions or reliving old ones? I’d love to hear! . This is my favorite winter book (prompt 8) for @florenceandthebookparty & @gitana.eleni ‘s #bookpartychallenge. Thanks for hosting ladies!

Getting cosy. I'm Autumnal at heart, but I can't help being a little bit thrilled by the arrival of December. The crisp air! The wintry reads! THE MINCE PIES! This year I'm joining in my first ever bookstagram read-along, thanks to Two Girl Book Party. In keeping with the season, the book is Eowyn Ivey's The Snow Child, which seems like the perfect December read: set in Alaska, based on a Russian fairy tale, and Pulizter Prize nominated. 🌨❄📚 Ignore the dust on the prop-logs in my photo. They're strictly for rustic ambiance. I've never lit a log fire in my city-born life. This post is for prompt 2 of the #bookpartychallenge Holiday Photo Challenge: Getting Cosy. #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookish #igreads #instabook #booksofinstagram #booklover #booklove  #bookworm #bibliophile #bookster #read #reading #book #instaread #bookgeek #booknerd #bookstack #tbr #novels #unitedbookstagram #bookstagramuk #thesnowchild

#partner | Happy December, book friends! We put the tree up last night and are hoping to attend our favorite family tradition today (horrible weather permitting 😅). I’ll post more in my stories today if we go ☺️ How do you all kick off the Christmas season? . Here is my very lose December TBR stack. The lovely library stickers make the titles sound so interesting 😂 “The Snow” and “The Train of Things” cracks me up. (It’s actually “The Snow Child” and “The Train of Lost Things.”) I’m very thankful to @tin_house for the ARC of “The Orphan of Salt Winds,” and @bookskeelyreads for “The Alchemist.” 🥰 Have you read any of these? . This is my “December reads” post (prompt 1) for the #bookpartychallenge.

*screams in Fae* Ok, so to kick off the month of December: the big kahuna. I finished this book a while ago, but I kept mum because I wanted to take pictures with it in my new style. But now that I've rolled it out, oh, man, do I have some feelings about it. Now, let me preface this by saying that I will forever love this series with the passion of a thousand suns. BUT because it was a Maas book and it's her damn fault she's hyped me up: I expected a bit more👀. Just a bit. A smidge, really. However, I'm still looking forward to the new books she has coming out in 2019😭. And because this month will be tight in terms of free time, my tbr for December is thin: #Becoming by #michelleobama, #womenwhorunwithwolves and #andtheoceanwasoursky by #neilgaiman. What are some of your reads for this month?👇🏻 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄 🎄 #bookishholidays18 #bloodwitchbookstagram #decinbooks18 #decbookstagram18 #bookstagramreadsdecember #fireheartxmas18 #bookqueensdec18 #bookpartychallenge #maasmas #tinylovedecember18 #decemberlibrary18 #12daysofhogwarts

Pretty excited about my December TBR list! Mixing in some Christmas stories with books that I’ve been looking forward to for a long time! 📚 What are you reading in December? 📚 The Kindle books (hard to see) are Now That You Mention It, You’d Be Mine, The Secret Mother, Forget You Know Me, A Stranger In the House, An Island Christmas. 📚 #bookreadhappyhour – #TBR #bookpartychallenge – December Reads #EvolveIntoBooks – Bookworm: book that’s been on your TBR forever – I’ve read almost all of Kristin Hannah’s books, except Magic Hour & I’m excited to finally knock that one off my TBR list! 📚 #bibliophile #bookstagram #booklover #books #bookish #book #instareads #reader #reading #bookworm #bookstagrammer #reading #botm #read #bookworm #bookaholic #bookobsessed
