“We can only know that we know nothing. And that is the highest degree of human wisdom.” // Old Dead Russians. This is one of my favorite shelf labels of all time, and it’s at my favorite local bookstore, @sheafe_street_books! I think it’s hilarious. If you’re ever in Portsmouth, NH, swing by this amazing shop! Alright, so I guess this is my post for prompt 9: local bookstore for the #bookpartychallenge hosted by the angels over at @twogirlbookparty! The prompts are super fun, so I’m gonna try to do some of them since I’ve never done a photo challenge! // #bookstagram #bookish #shelfie #russianliterature #warandpeace #tolstoy #chekhov #dostoevsky #photochallenge #localbookstore #classics #mustread

Diving into my first #bookstagram challenge with the #bookpartychallenge being hosted by the lovely duo at @twogirlbookparty! • This is #10, books with local art 🖤 • I pass by this KAWS piece nearly every day. It’s from 2012 and part of a larger exhibit called The Nature of Need. It’s definitely in contrast to my current read, which also has art on its cover, the 1968 painting “Interior” by Edgar Degas. Plus, Hardwick’s essays were written in the 1970s. • But I enjoy contrast and this juxtaposition that made me think of art through the years; pop art vs traditional vs the art of words. I’m happy art exists in this world; it could always use more of it. • Are you joining the challenge?! The prompts are super fun and clearly let me meditate on books in relation to other subjects! 💥
